I’m a lover of practical steps that I can apply to achieve something! There are some things I would have never thought about as I came across them reading through the pages. Rene Medina has brought us another management book. However, with this book, you get a great place to start because, as anyone knows in the corporate world, everyone needs a place to start, and you will get this with her book The Road to Management. Even though I run my own business, I found some useful tools that even apply to my own growth in business. She is straight to the point and has low academic management theory and complexity, allowing you to learn, no matter how much management training you currently have. Rene even walks you through the steps from the start of your career, or if you have been with a company and are currently in a management position, however you want to grow. The steps of working on your own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats analysis, so you know where you need to learn and grow.I really found that this book was truly easy to read. It comes in at seventy-three pages and takes you around two hours to read and a few more to make notes so you can reference that information when you are ready to take the steps on your journey toward management. I recommend this book to all those I know in the corporate world because, whether they are management or not, for the cost, this is a book they need in their business library. This book is a reflection of multiple years of managerial experience compiled beautifully in the form of a step by step guide, full of anecdotes and lays down a comprehensive plan for anyone aspiring to become a manager or somebody already being in a management profile.
